Carving 2010
Okay, it is official I stink as a blogger and a mom. We carved pumpkins but I didn't take pictures of them all together or lit up. I didn't take pictures of the kids in their costumes. But I can tell you that they had fun trick or treating despite the rain. Everyone has at least ONE large Ziploc full of candy.
On a side note, yes, Jillian has a brace on her right arm. Nothing is broken. It is just a sprain I know that it must have happened playing football, she just doesn't know exactly when. So she will be in the brace for about 2 weeks. Why is it that the two times I have been to the ER it has been for my girls? I thought it was the boys I was going to have to worry about.

Kids on a cart
For now this is the only picture I have of any of us from Meghan and Adam's wedding. This was after the wedding while we were waiting for the van. I was very proud of how good the kids were the entire weekend. As soon as Meghan get home from their honeymoon I am hoping she will be able to send us some more pictures. It was a very BEAUTIFUL. I forgot to ask the photographers to take a picture of just our family. Oh well, the day wasn't about us. Just looking at this picture I can not believe how big the kids are all getting.

Bye Bye bathroom
So when you ask your husband says, "Sure honey, go a head and run to the mall, take your time." You would think red flags would have gone up. Nope, I was not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. BUT... when I came home I found out the reason why. WE have decided to renovate the master bathroom. YIPEE!!! Actually I am quite excited. Not for the mess but for the finished product. It will be nice to have a shower that is warm in the winter, a tub that a grown up can soak in and a more separate bathroom all together. Hopefully John and Peter see this blog so they will be expecting the call for help in the near future.

We also went bowling and just hung out. We were really bad about taking out the camera. We are all really sad that they are moving across the country and I am not sure what we are going to do once they are gone. It is a good thing there is Skype so Buddha doesn't forget us. Sabrina and Gavin are going to go into withdrawals I think. Hopefully, we will be able to find a way to visit once they are all settled in.

Family Day
We decided to torture the kids and make them spend the day together as a family. We drove along Mirror Lake highway, stopped at Provo River Falls, and even made it all the way to Mirror Lake. The bigger kids remember going a few years ago but it was new fun for the younger two. Mirror lake was new to everyone. It is a beautiful lake and lots of people were fishing. Which made the kids want to fish. So they found some line, a hook and even some bait and were trying their hand at "fishing". I am thinking we might need some "expert" help. Maybe we could try to talk Steph and Korey into bringing their gear and teaching MY city kids how to fish. Mirror Lake is such a beautiful setting I think I could bring my Kindle and be happy sitting and watching everyone fish.

Reason Two...
Is there any wonder why...
8.25.2010
One reason...
at least two of my kids and hubby would want to move to the "country". You can ride motorcycles in your yard.
The kids (and Owen) had a blast visiting Steph, Korey and their kids recently. I hate that they live 2 hours away. I sure wished they lived down the street. We are going to have to make a better effort to visit more often, especially since they will now officially be the closest cousins (once Heidi and Jason take Buddha and baby to Florida in less that a month).

Two for One
For Jillian it was extra special because she got wear the same dress Kelly and Lauren wore on their baptism days. She also wore a bracelet that Nana got for her when she was born.

What Big Sister's are for...
to teach you how to ride a two wheeler.
Jilli and Gavin asked if they could go to the flats today. I didn't know she was taking him down there to teach him to ride his bike. It just amazes me when my kids do things like this. Hayden taught Jilli and now she taught Gavin. Having siblings sometimes is just the best thing. These moments of unsolicited kindness warms a parents heart.
