Totally Gutted

Yep, nothing left of the bathroom or CLOSET. Hopefully, in the next week or so we will start putting humpty dumpty back together again. But it could be longer than anyone thinks.

To cute...

Not to post.

I know I have mentioned that I am flunking as a blogger. This is one of the only cute pictures we took while we were visiting California. But on a good note, I found the charger for my camera so my goal is to try to start using it.

Carving 2010

Okay, it is official I stink as a blogger and a mom. We carved pumpkins but I didn't take pictures of them all together or lit up. I didn't take pictures of the kids in their costumes. But I can tell you that they had fun trick or treating despite the rain. Everyone has at least ONE large Ziploc full of candy.

On a side note, yes, Jillian has a brace on her right arm. Nothing is broken. It is just a sprain I know that it must have happened playing football, she just doesn't know exactly when. So she will be in the brace for about 2 weeks. Why is it that the two times I have been to the ER it has been for my girls? I thought it was the boys I was going to have to worry about.

Kids on a cart

For now this is the only picture I have of any of us from Meghan and Adam's wedding. This was after the wedding while we were waiting for the van. I was very proud of how good the kids were the entire weekend. As soon as Meghan get home from their honeymoon I am hoping she will be able to send us some more pictures. It was a very BEAUTIFUL. I forgot to ask the photographers to take a picture of just our family. Oh well, the day wasn't about us. Just looking at this picture I can not believe how big the kids are all getting.

Bye Bye bathroom

So when you ask your husband says, "Sure honey, go a head and run to the mall, take your time." You would think red flags would have gone up. Nope, I was not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. BUT... when I came home I found out the reason why. WE have decided to renovate the master bathroom. YIPEE!!! Actually I am quite excited. Not for the mess but for the finished product. It will be nice to have a shower that is warm in the winter, a tub that a grown up can soak in and a more separate bathroom all together. Hopefully John and Peter see this blog so they will be expecting the call for help in the near future.

The go to girl

It is very funny to sit on the side lines of Jillian's games. Listening to the other parent talk about your daughter. They say things like, "Man, that girls' quick" and "Oh, our boys would have caught her but... they didn't want to touch her butt." YEAH RIGHT!!! She is just quick and slippery. She scored on of the teams touchdowns this week. She is LOVING it.

Different Skate Park

This is the kids FAVORITE skate park. We only found it a few weeks ago but it is so much better than the old one. Owen told me the picture of Jilli, she is "jumping the gap". She is like 2 feet in the air. Makes her daddy proud. Jared like doing tricks on his bike best. Jared may want his next bike to be a BMX style so he can do more tricks. Hayden just tends to ride around and watch the other two and make faces at dad when he is taking his picture.

Hill AF skate park

the kids have become skate park OBSESSED. This weekend we spent the night ON BASE with Heidi and Jason and there was a skate park across the street. Jillian and Jared could not have been happier.
We also went bowling and just hung out. We were really bad about taking out the camera. We are all really sad that they are moving across the country and I am not sure what we are going to do once they are gone. It is a good thing there is Skype so Buddha doesn't forget us. Sabrina and Gavin are going to go into withdrawals I think. Hopefully, we will be able to find a way to visit once they are all settled in.

9.15.2010

Really...

if kids keep getting black eyes someone might call the authorities. Yesterday was Hayden's turn. Guess it is bound to happen when brothers wrestle. To make things even better today was picture day at school. Well, now we have a matched set.

R U ready for some FOOTBALL???

Owen FINALLY got to attend one of his kids playing football. Jillian ROCKS!!! She scored 2 of the 3 touchdowns in her first game. Needless to say her team won. She is playing with her two best friends, Jacob and Savannah Massey. It was fun to listen to the parents talk about how the littlest girl on the team out played most of the boys on the field. As a mom I could not be more proud. By the way you need to click on the picture of her running so you can check out her "tough" football face. This girl means business on the field.

9.10.2010

What happens when...

your daughter doesn't listen to you to stop running in the store. It is hard to tell but her eye is all black and blue. Man having a two year old is fun.

9.09.2010

When you turn 12...

you become a dork in front of the camera. Actually the first picture is, I think, a happy surprised face. It wasn't on his "list" but he got a snowboard for his birthday. He is ready for the snow to start flying.

8.31.2010

A few more

These pictures were on the OTHER camera we took with us. Owen took 5 pictures and then the battery died. It was a good thing that Jillian asked to take our small camera else I would not have had any of the cute pictures to blog of our weekend adventure.

Family Day

We decided to torture the kids and make them spend the day together as a family. We drove along Mirror Lake highway, stopped at Provo River Falls, and even made it all the way to Mirror Lake. The bigger kids remember going a few years ago but it was new fun for the younger two. Mirror lake was new to everyone. It is a beautiful lake and lots of people were fishing. Which made the kids want to fish. So they found some line, a hook and even some bait and were trying their hand at "fishing". I am thinking we might need some "expert" help. Maybe we could try to talk Steph and Korey into bringing their gear and teaching MY city kids how to fish. Mirror Lake is such a beautiful setting I think I could bring my Kindle and be happy sitting and watching everyone fish.

8.27.2010

Reason Two...

Owen would like to move back to Logan apparently Steph & Korey live at the end of the rainbow. I have to say this is one of the best pictures. Look how bright the rainbow on the left is. The kids all are having a blast being together.

Is there any wonder why...

I have a hard time tell her NO. Well everyone in our house seems to be under her spell, so at least I am not alone. I remember my mom warning me what comes around goes around, I guess I really am raising a newer smaller version of me. I think we are in trouble.

8.25.2010

One reason...

at least two of my kids and hubby would want to move to the "country". You can ride motorcycles in your yard.
The kids (and Owen) had a blast visiting Steph, Korey and their kids recently. I hate that they live 2 hours away. I sure wished they lived down the street. We are going to have to make a better effort to visit more often, especially since they will now officially be the closest cousins (once Heidi and Jason take Buddha and baby to Florida in less that a month).

8.18.2010

When you are bored...

Take out Mom's camera and take funny pictures of youself.

8.12.2010

Two for One

Hayden and Jillian both chose to be baptized. It was a WONDERFUL and special day that was just perfect. Family came from all over and many friends for our ward were there to support them. Because it was just the two of them getting baptised it was all about them. Jennifer and Stephanie gave wonderful inspired talks. Kelly did great as the choirester. I also want to thank Brett for giving both kids beautiful blessings.
For Jillian it was extra special because she got wear the same dress Kelly and Lauren wore on their baptism days. She also wore a bracelet that Nana got for her when she was born.

8.11.2010

Cat in the Hat

This was a spontaneous picture of the newest member of the family. Lucy the cat. Yes, she is sitting in Owen's Raider's hat. I guess it is what can happen when you don't put your things away like you are suppose to.

8.09.2010

What Big Sister's are for...

to teach you how to ride a two wheeler.

Jilli and Gavin asked if they could go to the flats today. I didn't know she was taking him down there to teach him to ride his bike. It just amazes me when my kids do things like this. Hayden taught Jilli and now she taught Gavin. Having siblings sometimes is just the best thing. These moments of unsolicited kindness warms a parents heart.
